I am surprised that this will be my first review on a Mt. Begbie beer. Brewed out of Revelstoke in BC since ’96. One of the owners apparently has a PhD in nuclear physics which is just a little intimidating. Obviously he has taken something from his scientific background and applied it with the beers they brew up. That might help explain the numerous awards this brewery already has under its belt.

Pours a bubbly, clear, golden-amber color with next to no head and obviously no lacing. I found the aroma quite sweet, possibly honey or caramel, with some light grassy notes. The taste is dominated by caramel with subtle malt undertones. I found it to have a light floral hop holding hands with a light bitterness right at the end along with its mellow aftertaste.
